Sand Ceremony for a vow renewal:

Karen and Henry today you are recommitting to your life-long commitment to share your lives with each other and honor your children as well. As you each hold your sand, the sand represents your lives to this moment; individual and unique. As you now combine your sand together, your lives also join together as one family. You will now blend your unique sand colors together symbolizing the uniting of the children and mother and father into one.

I ask Karen first to lay the foundation of her colored sand.

Now I ask Jim to pour his colored sand.

Now I ask Lange to lay her colored sand on top.

Now I ask Oren to pour his colored sand.

Now I ask Robert to lay his colored sand on top.

Finally, I ask that Henry lay the final protective covering to the sand layers.

Your family relationship is symbolized through the pouring of the sand; representing, Karen, Henry, and the children, Jim, Lange, Oren and Robert, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be.
